American Sufi Project Music Video

"Meet Yourself, Mast Qalandar” is the second album released by the American Sufi Project. Shot and recorded in New York city, the album features the sufi music form of Qawwali. The lead track is a rendition of the popular Qawwali “Dum Mast Qalandar” sung by Dhruv Sangari with percussion by Dan Kurfirst. Dum Mast Qalandar is an adaptation of the poem written by Amir Khusrow which was further modified by Bulleh Shah and dedicated to the revered Sufi Saint Shahbaz Qalandar. We dedicated this video to all those who lost their lives in the Shahbaz Qalandar mosque attack in 2017.
